Meg Leachman named General Chair of Shell Houston Open

Meg Leachman has been appointed to the position of General Chair for the 2013 and 2014 Shell Houston Open PGA Tour event. She is succeeding Houston architect Herschel Sikes, who completed a two-year stint as General Chair.

A Houston Golf Association volunteer since 2004, Leachman has served as Vice Chair of Mobility and Spectator Services for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Shell Houston Open tournaments. She has also served on the HGA Junior Golf Committee, HGA Academic Scholarship Committee and as a volunteer for The First Tee of Greater Houston.

Recipient of the Earl Elliott HGA Member of the Year Award in 2011, Leachman volunteers time to serve on the advisory board of the Cenikor Foundation.

She is Director of Marketing and Business Development for SNC-Lavalin, an international engineering and construction firm, where she has been employed for 18 years.
