The First Tee of Houston/RedstoneHouston Golf Association holds the charter for The First Tee of Houston/Redstone Chapter. Awarded the charter in April of 2004, HGA has made the commitment to underwrite a $200,000-plus annual cost of administering this program. The First Tee of Houston/Redstone is open to any child 7-18 years of age. There is no charge. With its partner -- The Redstone Companies -- the HGA is building a 6,700 square foot building to serve as The First Tee Learning Center. The First Tee is a youth development program that implements and teaches The First Tee Life Skills Experience as well as how to play the game. Participants are exposed to invaluable life skills through golf-related activities and given access to a three-hole, par-3 golf course that was built just for them. The Houston Golf Association is recognized by the IRS as a 501c (3) charitable organization. Any donation to The First Tee of Houston/Redstone is tax deductible. Please consider supporting The First Tee of Houston/Redstone and help impact the lives of young people in Greater Houston. Purchase a brick to be placed in the walkway leading to the building that will also serve as the Media Center during the PGA TOUR Shell Houston Open. Each brick has room for three lines of text with 13 characters in each line. Spaces between words count as characters For additional details on brick sales or other donations, please contact our office at 281-454-7000.
