2010 Media Credentials Request

The Shell Houston Open will be played the week of March 29-April 4, 2010. Responding through this website is for accreditation only and does not necessarily ensure that the credentials requested will be automatically granted. All media requests must go through a more detailed, but user-friendly, registration program provided by the PGA TOUR. January 4, 2010 is when media registration begins. When you reach the site you will be asked to identify yourself. If you are registering on this system for the first time, you must click on the register link first to set up an "account."  Fill out the information fields on the screen. Approval of your "account" usually takes about an hour. Once your ID and Password are approved, you can re-enter the site and register. Note: One individual (sports editor, assignment editor, sports director, producer) per media outlet should make the credential request for all staffers who will be covering the event.

The Shell Houston Open will honor working requests by recognized media outlets. Freelance requests will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Space in the media center is limited. All credential requests will be reviewed by the PGA TOUR as well as by Burt Darden (bdarden@hga.org), Director of Communications, Houston Golf Association, 5810 Wilson Road, Suite 112, Humble, TX 77396. Deadline for application is Monday, March 8, 2010.

Once your request has been received and approved, you will be emailed a .pdf file that can be printed out and used to gain you access to the Houston Golf Association office to receive credentials. All credentials must be picked up at the Houston Golf Association office. No credentials will be mailed.

Please notice additional tournament information on the Media Center sub-navigation bar and on the Media Center navigation banner on the upper left portion of this page. Complimentary meals for working media will be served in a private area behind the Media Center from 11 AM until 2 PM Wednesday through Sunday (March 31-April 4).
